Supposed to play badminton every Sunday. But I didnt for the previous week. So, off I went yesterday. Playing happily but sad to say, I hurt my wrist. Somehow it felt a bit pain after I finished playing for more than an hour. I think I need to take out my ‘ko iok’ (pain relief paste) again. Hehe.
Went to Pasar Ramadhan near my work place during lunch break. Still early, so people there were still busy setting up stalls but some already started to sell the local delicacies like kuih-muih and cakes . At the entrance, a colourful banner attracted my attention. I took a closer look, stated there, ‘Pop Ice’.
As I walked closer to the stall, I saw lots of colourful packages hanging on a string or pole. Different colours for different flavours.
I tried to glance through quickly to see what flavours they had there. Then I asked the seller, what kind of drink was that. She told me it was ice-blended kinda drink. I told her I thought it was supposed to be carbonated drink with gas that simply will ‘POP’ in our mouth. She smiled and said, “Pop Ice is just a brand of the drink”. -_-”’
After sometimes, I still couldn’t decide which flavour to choose. I thought of choosing chocolate flavour but then I thought of would it be too common? Would it be unfair to the Pop Ice if I graded it 50% instead of 80% since it only costed RM2 per cup? *sshh..I am a super fan of chocolate ice-blended with cream*
Oh well, I know, I know..I was thinking too much! So, at the end, I have chosen Taro flavour. Nice fragrant and very sweet. Totally comparable to the yam ice creams sold in the market. But I tell you what, I dislike yam. I have chosen the wrong flavour to my liking. -_-”’
Mum bought two boxes of Crystal Jelly from the supermarket the other day. Mango flavour and strawberry flavour. Since then she always ask me to make the jelly. But you know, sometimes doing cooking and baking kinda stuff depends pretty much on one’s mood other wise the result would not be successful eventhough it is a simple cooking or baking. Okay, finally I got the mood. After dinner, I took out the two boxes of jelly, read the instruction carefully on how to prepare and found that it was super duper simple. Anyone could do it. Hehe!
Firstly, measure 400ml of hot water in a big bowl. Then, open up a packet of jelly mixture which looks like coloured sugar and pour into the big bowl which contains the 400ml of hot water. Stir until it melts. Then pour into the moulds of any shapes and sizes you like. As for me, I used the transparent bowl-shape container with cover. Lastly, put into the fridge to let it set. Taa daa…Done! *Proud* The colours are very nice and the jelly smells good! Can’t wait to taste it already! *Drooling*
