Traffic jam

Filed under: General — Eileen Yap @ 4:47 am

I really hate it when it is raining in the morning. Not that I dislike the cool weather. It is because this unforeseen rain will usually cause a serious traffic jam on my way to work. No matter how early I get out of my house, I will still be late for work. I don’t understand why people need to drive at super slow speed when it is raining. For example this morning, it was only drizzling, people already started to move at 20km per hour. That was at total snail pace! Since I did not know what to do when I got stucked in the traffic jam, I took my time taking few photos instead of looking at the strangers in the car beside me.

Look at how bad the traffic was!!!

Conversations

Filed under: Life Documentary — Eileen Yap @ 3:00 am

Below are a few conversation patterns which I get to hear most of the time. Please pay attention to the orange colour parts.

Conversation I

A: *printing something*
B: Eh??!! Are you sure this is correct? How come seems darker?
A: *do not bother*
B: You sure this is correct huh?
A: *nod*
B: Ok ok then should be correct. Or maybe not…I think last time was lighter…or the same as this? I don’t know, maybe the same, maybe not. You know better because you liaise with customer yourself. But seem to me is darker. I don’t know. If you think correct then should be ok….
A: -_- ”’

Conversation II
B: You print this one. Make sure the sequence is correct. Don’t mix up. Be careful.
A: Ok.
B: *disturbing the printout, got them mix up*
A: *looking in dismay*

B: Eh??!! Is this supposed to be here? Are you sure this is the right arrangement? I thought this should be at the back? I mean the last piece, or it is supposed to be here? Is it at the front? I don’t know. Could be here, could be not. You are the one printing you should know better. Make sure they are in running numbers. *walk away*
A: @#%*#! If you don’t disturb, everything will be in RIGHT sequence lah. Duh! *the OS of my heart* -_- ”’

Conversation III
B: You come here. I want you to do this. Complete it in 15 minutes.
A: *nod*
B: Try to get it done in 15 minutes. This task is not too hard or maybe 20 minutes. Could be faster, could be slower. Maybe you will take longer time or shorter time. I don’t know. You try. Make sure you do it properly. Maybe it takes you 30 minutes also ok. I don’t know….*not finish talking yet*
A: *walk away impatiently*
B: Umm..I think you come back to get your work in one hour. By then everything will be done nicely. Don’t worry. Just give us a bit more time to get it done. * talk to customer*
A: -_- ”’

Conclusion: WHAT DO YOU ACTUALLY WANT JUST GO STRAIGHT TO THE POINT. JUST TELL ME THEN I SHALL DO IT FOR YOU. DON’T BIT AROUND THE BUSH AND STOP DISTURBING WHEN I AM DOING MY WORK. YOU ARE DRIVING ME CRAZY!!!

Japanese Buffet

Filed under: Food — Eileen Yap @ 3:34 am

Woo hoo..I went to this restaurant at Riverside with friends. We were having Japanese Buffet. The ambient was not bad. But the food were kinda like ’so so’ only. It is not quite worth for RM69 per head though. Yet you have to make a booking like one or two weeks in advance. Other wise it is always full house. What is so attractive? Anyway, I had a great time chatting with friends. Well, I think this was what I enjoyed most during that dinner.

Taken some pictures but..BUT…because of the photographer is a little too ’skillful’ and the camera itself is too ‘good’, the photos came out to be too dark and not so clear. *blush*

Snow! Snow!

Filed under: Food — Eileen Yap @ 3:47 am

SNOW! SNOW! There’s snow and igloo in Kuching. Haha. It’s actually a shop selling snow ice called ‘iglool’ which is located at King Centre. There are various flavors of snow ice available. Cappuccino, peanut, chocolate, green tea, mango, yogurt…and many more. I personally like green tea and peanut flavors the most. The taste is not too sweet. The flavor is not too strong. It does not taste artificial at all. It is just nice. The fragrant will last in your mouth for a while as the snow ice slowly melts in your mouth. The green tea flavored snow ice comes with red beans where as the peanut flavored snow ice comes with peanut crunches and chocolate rice being sprinkled on top. Yum yum! For those who like sour taste, you can try yogurt flavor. It is the combination of sweet and sour taste, very refreshing! Very refreshing I tell you. If you are sleepy sure immediately become awake after taking it. By the way, I forgot to take photo for the green tea and peanut flavors. Hehe….

This shop is easy to be recognized from the outside. The signboard is outstanding with bright neon light. From far you can see a cute penguin in sweater standing beside an igloo. As for the inside, it is cozy and cool. The decoration is nice and relaxing with mainly soft baby blue color and white color. It is an ideal place with “chill” out with friends. But too bad, it only operates until 10pm at night.

Over all, the price for every item is reasonable. It is also consider hygienic as they are using disposable cups and spoons. They also sell cakes and some other cold and hot drinks just incase people need to keep themselves warm in the igloo. Hehe.

RWMF2007

Filed under: Event and outing — Eileen Yap @ 2:21 am

The 10th Rainforest World Music Festival was held at the Sarawak Cultural Village during last weekends. It was a three days non-stop partying event. Thousands of people from all walks of life showed up at the SCV to participate in this event. Be it tourists from all over the world, foreigners, Malaysian or Sarawakian. Everybody was having a whale of time. Heaps of people were dancing in the pool of sweat until past mid night. Shoulders rubbing shoulders. Adrenaline was shot up high in everyone’s body. Everyone seemed to dance to their heart’s content and being so high. On the other hand, there were also people who purely enjoyed lying down on the ground, listening to the wonderful music from the other countries. I, being a curious baby, was wondering whole night how could those weird looking musical instruments produced such nice melody. I really love this event so super damn much! I got to see so many familiar yet happy faces too. I was so happy throughout the whole night.

Huge balloons every where telling people it’s the 10th RWMF 2007 event.

‘Someone’ was relaxing in the rainforest.

Heineken seemed to be the most common ‘drink’ to quench thirst.

Even flowers were happy that day; they bloomed and dressed up in matching color with the lamp.

I will definitely be there again next year. So, it’s either you join me next year or you miss it then later tell me you are regret for not being there!
