Pizza Hut & Bestberry Cafe

Filed under: Food — Eileen Yap @ 10:14 am

Went to Pizza Hut eating the Pick It, Pull It, Dip It! Sausage Bites Pizza with friends. It tasted so so only. They were  so not  generous with the Barbeque Cheese Dip. Gave us a bit only. As usual, cheesy food could not be taken too much other wise you would feel very ‘geli’. Hehe.

As the night was still young, the weather was hot; we proceeded to the next destination for something more refreshing and cold. Bestberry Cafe served various kinds of beverages at reasonable and affordable prices. We decided to order something sour and refreshing to make ourselves felt better (you know, especially after eating pizza kinda thing). I have forgotten the names but I could still merely describe a bit. We ordered Aiyu Bing, a type of jelly in ice lemon tea; Mini Aiyu Bing, ice crushed with milk topping with the jelly and plum powder; Pineapple Snow Mountain, something really nice and refreshing with the pineapple blended with the ice; last but not least, Red Bean Soup with black rice? Hehe. I do not know how to say but I supposed it is a very common type of dessert. We ordered the lukewarm cold one but it ended up not so cold as they just put in ice cubes. So, it ended up not so nice la because not sweet enough anymore. But, I will certainly visit Bestberry Cafe again to try the other type of drinks as they looked very alluring to me with photos shown in the menu.

Pain Relief Patch

Filed under: General — Eileen Yap @ 10:02 am

Was having muscle pain that day.  Was not sure what to do, to take pain killer or not to take. Ding! Thought of a solution. *light bulb* Decided to paste ko iok, a type of pain relief patch. Searching high and low around the house and found a box  of ‘tuo ku xian’ *happy*(a type of patch also la, direct translation means ‘out of bitterness’ as in difficulties) in the drawer. Opened up, left the LAST and ONLY piece -_-”’. I tried to paste on my body. The next day, I felt better. So, I decided to go and get another box. I entered the shop looking for this ‘tuo ku xian’ but I could not find it. Out of a sudden, I saw something which was very hilarous instead, ‘wu tong ku’ (translated into english means ‘no bitterness’ as in difficulties). Hahaha! Immediately I wanted to laugh. The more I looked at it, the more I felt like giggling. I even had this conversaion in my mind.

Salesperson: May I help you?

Customer: I want to buy ‘tuo ku xian’ because I want to get out of bitterness.

Salesperson: I am sorry. We do not have that. But why don’t you try ‘wu tong ku’ because you will have no bitterness at all so no need to get out of bitterness.

Okay, I know it is lame -_-”’

This is ‘wu tong ku’.

As I found that the packaging of ‘wu tong ku’ looked a bit not so convincing I decided to get myself a Salonpas Patch for pain relief.

This is Salonpas which I happily bought home.

Just blabbing II

Filed under: General — Eileen Yap @ 8:41 am

The other day I went to sing karaoke at Pop Wave with a few friends. This place is considered still quite new. The place is clean. The aircond is cold enough to feel comfortable with a few of us in there. The price is reasonable I should say which is either inclusive of lunch or dessert. We were having fun. It is sure to be one of the most suitable hang out places with a bunch of good friends.

Last week someone gossiped something to me told me something which I felt so unfair for them. I am more and more to feel that this is a realistic society. I felt so sad that how could an educated person with much experiences in managing a company treated the workers just like that. Everybody have their own prides and self esteems. As long as human being is what we are talking here, RESPECT is very important. Anything also can be brought to discussion instead of making someone feels ashamed in the public. The big enchilada should not go ape just like that. That is killing his own men silently. That is real sad for those who served the company for donkey’s years. *sigh*

*****

Sometimes, I do believe that as long as you do your part, you treat people nicely, be helpful to people and trust in GOD, you will be treated double as nice. This is somehow quite true. There was one day, I was busy dealing with the other tasks, but there was a particular task which I must admit that I need help to get it done. But nobody gave me a helping hand that time. Well, I felt a little worry but I did not blame. I just try to figure out how should I get it done as soon as possible and got it done nicely. I did not give up looking for solution. Out of a sudden, I found it from the Internet. This meant that I did not have to waste much time and could just get it done directly. At that moment, I really felt that GOD was with me. HE helped me up when I felt helpless. I felt so happy and thankful to GOD deep in my heart.

Happy or sad

Filed under: General — Eileen Yap @ 11:28 am

Of course happy la :) Yesterday I arrived at office 835 am 830 am sharp. I noticed that most of the people were standing outside the shophouses. After I asked long and short to find out what was the reason, I got to know that it was because all the cables and main electric cables from the whole block of shophouses were cut off and stolen by somebody. So, no current available. No current means hot + humid + dark + nothing can be done. I stood there for about an hour or so. Then I decided to tell my boss I wanted to leave and I will be back once the thing got fixed. I got the approval. So, off I went. Happily having an official half day off. :)
